Review Monster Plannig
Monster Planning |
Monster Planning
This book gives us, in each chapter, advice on the topic at hand, even in the introduction, it already gives us on how to evaluate and make a plan in the position. Each chapter is accompanied by exercises in which you have to choose a plan among three proposed (explained in detail), and each of them is assigned a score by the book to measure our level. In addition, everything is done in a very special way, since it explains the old and new procedure to play these positions.
Without further delay, we'll talk about what each tome is about:
Monster Planning 1
This first volume presents us in a very detailed way:Pawn concepts:
backward pawns, doubled pawns, isolated pawns, hanging pawns, pawn islands ...
Row and diagonal concepts: open column, outpost ...
In this link you can see a sample of the monster planning book.
Monster Planning 2
The second volume of this work presents us with two major themes:Concepts about initiative in chess, such as development, sacrifice of quality, security of the king ...
Strategic concepts in chess, such as: the pair of bishops, most pawns, piece changes ...
To have a great explanation about chess piece changes and transformations, I recommend watching IM Asaf Givon's and Aggelos Kesaris's chess course.
